Stigma is a powerful social force that hurts and damages the lives of young gay, bisexual, queer, two-spirit, and trans (GBQ2ST) guys in complex ways. Stigma affects opportunities, mental health, self-esteem, and is a driver of the HIV epidemic.

Stigma sucks. It’s time to take action.

Resist Stigma is national initiative engaging young men in combating stigma. Our goal is to reduce stigma by empowering young GBQ2ST guys to reveal its impact on health, everyday life, and how they resist it.

We are a group of young guys working in our communities to confront stigma. We know there are many more like us and we want to hear from you. We will provide GBQ2ST youth with up to $1000 to help share their story with the goal of inspiring other youth.

Tell us about your vision for: photo essays, memes, videos, mockumentary, anime, animations, music, dance, theatre, art series…

Your story can speak to the many faces of stigma: sexual stigma, heterosexism, HIV stigma, racism, transphobia, etc.

How will you Resist Stigma?

Submission Deadline: July 15, 2016
